Think Thoughts that Feel Good

“Think thoughts that make you feel good, make choices that make you feel good, and take actions that make you feel good.” ~Louise L. Hay

Many may reject the idea of positive thinking as voodoo, airy fairy, or new age. Even though studies have shown that optimists tend to live longer healthier lives, many are still hesitant.

Well what if it doesn’t work out? What if this is all just a bunch of quack talk?

Here is my take on it:

Why not believe that good things are coming? Why not put a positive spin on things? What if there really is something to the see the glass as half-full thing?

Especially when I know that I feel worse than junk-food-guilt when I start with the negative self-talk.

If you went in hoping for the best ,even if it doesn’t work out, it  won’t leave you any less prepared. You will just have spent less time in your imposed self-suffering. You will learn to focus on solutions instead of problems. Maybe you will begin to see new opportunities because you’re has shifted away from that which isn’t working . People will be more attracted to you. Who wants to spend time around an angry, complaining grump?

So why not try it this week? Put a smile on your face, seek out the good in your life and the situations you encounter, think and do things that feel good…and just see what happens.
